Tonights slow cooker recipe was Teriyaki Chicken Wings. The chicken was moist and nicely tainted with the orange colored sauce. The chicken marinated in the sauce all night and the dish turned out bland. Although we had no comments about this recipe, we did about the chicken itself.

Difficulty with using chicken as an ingredient or even simply barbecuing has become a small festering bubble that is irritated every time I sit down to enjoy poultry and become severely disappointed in the quality of meat and its juices. Meat sold in the United States is now allowed to be injected with water before being sold. That additional water content changes the cooking features of the poultry drastically especially the taste. This has nothing to do with the recipe but it makes cooking a slow cooker meal that involves a sauce to be discouraging.
