Today is the day we officially welcome the winter season into our mists although the majority of us see winter as more of a weather pattern then a cosmic rotation of the sun entering into Capricorn.
To me, Yule is the end of the growing season, the land is barren and recuperating. It is a time to reflect and celebrate our bounty that nature has bestowed upon us and a time to begin the preparations for the following spring. It is also a time for us to recuperate physically and mentally from the previous year. A time to pursue the things we want to do but didn’t have the time to accomplish before. Learn a new craft, a language, work on a new piece of what ever your heart desires, read a book or talk to an old friend; the possibilities are endless.
Have a wonderful winter solstice!
